This is a hard leather ever-ready cases in the classic sense. As you know neither Leitz nor Minolta ever made a hard case for these cameras, only a soft zipper pouch. The nose of the case is styled in a soft triangular shape reminiscent of Leica cases of the 50's & 60's. Either case can accommodate either the 28mm Rokkor or the 40mm Rokkor or Summicron-c with lens shade and cap. For the CLE, the 28mm Rokkor shade needs to be reversed before closing the case. Either case will accommodate a 50mm Summilux with a collapsible lens shade. The case for both the CL\CLE is nearly the same except for the placement of the screw fastener, which on the CL is in the middle of the case. Also the strap hinges on the CL are in the horizontal position rather than the vertical placement as originally designed by Leitz. |
